I was looking over numbers of Ranger school grad rates and historically the number has been around 45% grad rate. It was even over 50% from 2008-2010. Now it seems that the graduation rate has been dropping every year to a low of 33.1% in 2017. That is a huge drop off and essentially a completely different program from a 50% pass rate. 37.2% Ranger Graduates Recycle at least 1 phase of Ranger School, myself included. It really means nothing. Other than that a tab is still a long way away, even for those who pass the first part. The physical requests packed within the first three weeks of the Ranger course are grueling to say the least. Ranger School has an attrition rate greater than 50%. Not everyone who recycles stays, and not everyone who fails recycles. Unless you are a BRC or ITC grad the attrition rate at Ranger School is greater than that of any school you've attended in the Marine Corps. We started with 400 RA 2Lts (200 ROTC DMGs & 200 West Pointers) and finished with 197 on the tarmac at the FL Ranger camp so our attrition rate was 51%.
